PATRICK JOHN O’NEILL

was born and raised in Rochester, New York and has been dancing since the age of two. In May of 2010, Patrick graduated with his BFA in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the following day began working as a company member for the Lucinda Childs Dance Company. In addition to being a company member for Lucinda Childs, Patrick has had the opportunity to work with Kathryn Contessa, Gierre Godley’s Project 44, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, Aaron McGloin Dance and the Steps Repertory Ensemble. During the Spring 2016 and 2017 semesters, Patrick taught Ballet at Yale University in the Theater Studies Department. In 2018, Patrick was an Adjuct Professor in the Theatre Studies Department at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. He is on faculty at the Shoreline Ballet and is the Co-Director of the Shoreline Ballet Student Company (Guilford, CT) and has taught regularly throughout the state of Connecticut, where he currently resides, at various dance education centers and local studios. In addition to teaching dance, Patrick works as a Pilates and Spin instructor and private trainer at IMX Pilates Shoreline (Madison, CT). He has experience teaching students of all ages and all levels, from preschoolers to professionals. Patrick strives to inspire all his students, no matter what age, to find and nurture their passion so they can walk away with something more than just learning “the steps.”
