Youth Ages 14-18

Level 5-Ballet Technique Ages 14+

Incorporation of all previous levels with the addition of new ballet vocabulary. Students will further develop their skills, artistry and strength while developing their technique. Pointe work is included in weekly technique classes. This level is for the experienced student who wishes to further their studies in ballet. In order to progress, it is recommended that students attend four classes per week and supplement with additional classes in other dance forms.

Level 6-Ballet Technique Ages 16+

For the dedicated student, this level is for the intermediate to advanced. Incorporation of all previous levels with increased mastery of technique and combinations. Attention to pointe work and the fine tuning of musicality, phrasing and technique will be a priority. It is recommended that students attend four classes per week and supplement with additional classes in other dance forms.

Level 5 & 6-Variations & Repertory Ages 14+

This class is devoted to only the Level 5 & 6 students who attend the recommended four classes per week. Students will learn classical ballet variations as well as the respective ballet history. Students will also learn repertory that will be performed during Shoreline Ballet productions.

Contemporary Level 5 & 6 Ages 14+

This is for the intermediate to advanced dancer and further develops skills in versatility and movement potential. Elements of classical ballet, modern and improvisation are further developed. Students are required to be enrolled in either a Level 5 or 6 ballet technique class.

Beginner Teen Ballet Ages 13+

This class is for the teen dancer with little to no ballet training. It will introduce the basics of ballet technique and emphasize proper posture and form. It is recommended that students attend an additional dance class in another dance form to supplement their training.

Teen Tap Ages 13+

Creative rhythms and combinations are explored in this fun, energetic teen class. It is recommended that students also attend a weekly ballet class to supplement this dance form.
